America’s Next Top Model All-Star Lisa D’Amato
Talks Reality After Reality TV
HOLLYWOOD, CA — (February 11, 2021) — Lisa D’Amato, the former contestant and America’s Next Top Model All-Star winner, says that even after 15 years she still gets mischaracterized on blogs and online news outlets -- a direct result of America’s Next Top Model’s negative and skewed portrayal over the years. D’Amato says her portrayal on the show has hindered her recent endeavors in current events, social activism and political punditry.
On behalf of herself and others who may have suffered the same egregious indignities and downright abuse as herself, the America’s Next Top Model winner, Shark Tank Alum (yes, she’s also a successful entrepreneur with a global startup), and rap artist D’Amato recently shared an open letter to Tyra Bank and is open to helping and consulting with former contestants from the Reality TV world.
D’Amato’s #RealityAfterReality campaign will seek to offer wisdom and support to others.
D’Amato says she plans to launch a new grassroots social media campaign with the hashtag #RealityAfterReality next month, in an effort to bring awareness and offer support to other former reality TV contestants and former reality TV stars, whom D’Amato says face uniquely unfair treatment both during and after their time on reality TV. Despite this, D’Amato has managed to leverage her notoriety from reality TV into other successful ventures, and wants to share her insight with others wondering what ‘reality’ looks like after reality TV. “I want to help other former reality TV contestants capitalize on their experience,” D’Amato says.
D’Amato’s publicist, Darren Shuster of Pop Culture PR, says he is eager to support her new campaign. “There are just so many people out there that are struggling after appearing on even a single Reality TV episode,” Shuster says. “Given the poor treatment of these contestants, I’m eager to amplify their voices and concerns. It’s time to get the ball rolling.”
What is D’Amato Doing Lately?
While known as America’s Next Top Model’s ‘Wild Child’ turned All-Star Winner, D’Amato more recently known for scoring a deal on Shark Tank with her product Dare-U-Go. She will be coming out on another major syndicated TV show this year and has recently expressed her concern with America’s Next Top Model and Tyra Banks.
D’Amato serves as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the wildly successful Shark Tank-launched company, Dare-U-Go, with a presence in 20 countries and enjoys a loving marriage while continuing to appear on Reality TV shows with fresh appearances in February 2021. D’Amato is The New All-American Mom™ -- taking on the world one thrust at a time.
